Haven't heard the show yet but will assume that the Brian Wilson cover of Ledbelly's "Goodnight Irene" is from the Folkways: A Vision Shared album. Couldn't recommend that compilation highly enough. U2 have maybe their best ever track on there and Little Richard does Rock Island Line. Eclectic mix of artists but to great effect. Issued in the 80's...when I was still at school and we had it on vinyl. Yep - you can get it on CD as well.
