Chris,
I think this set is fantastic! Thanks for sending it in.
Glad you liked it. =) I had a lot of fun writing the annotated notes, and it took a lot longer than I thought it would. After writing notes for both sets (18 songs total -- typical length of a HIMH show) I now have a better appreciation for just how much time and effort Henry puts into HIMH and into the notes he posts. I can't believe he does it every week on top of his regular work schedule.
Also, apparently Henry isn't the only long-winded playlist writer. Kevin Smith (a.k.a. Silent Bob) was asked by Apple to do a celebrity playlist for iTunes. He did, but wrote way more than they envisioned, so he posted it on his blog. Great fun:

He asked people to post their own and I started to post mine, but the "Write Comments" link redirects to the View Askew forums, which requires registration, and they charge $2 to join to deter spammers. Maybe I'll sign up later but the thread is already pretty long.
Hello Chris,
I'd downloaded these after Angela posted them but for no good reason I hadn't listened to them. I finally listened tonight and I must say I really enjoyed this stuff. The Gits song is GREAT, MUST GET MORE, the Thrill Kill Kult, a band I always meant to checkout but never really did, great stuff. Then the Chingon track was cool too, which got me thinking about "From Dusk til Dawn" and the band that played in the bar. Well there was a link for them on the Chingon site. COOL!! I like Mexican Mariachi, folk music. I sometimes find myself in the southwest and always put the car radio on those stations playing that type of music. Thanks again Chris, do some more of these when you get the chance.
Bob
