(from Henry's notes:)

01. Michael Finnissy - Câtana (1984) Uroboros Ensemble/MF.
Michael Finnissy is the composer. British piano/composer. I don’t know much about him but I like this album Finnissy Chamber Music as well as another of his called English Country Tunes.

02. Iannis Xenakis - Orient-Occident (1960) / Electronic Music
Greek avant composer. Died in 2001. Diamanda Galas loaned me one of his records in 1985 and that helped start my interest in music that was more out there. I was surprised how quickly I took to different kinds of music.

03. George Crumb: 03. Dream Sequence (Images II) / (Ensemble Für Neue Musik Zürich)
American composer, apparently, still working at over 80. I first heard him on KCRW. I think it was Night Music In Four Nocturnes was what I heard.

04. Harry Partch - Rotate the Body in All Its Planes,
(music for an exhibition of gymnasts for soprano, chorus, traditional & Partch instruments) / Harry Partch Collection Vol 3
It was Chris Haskett of the Rollins Band who turned me onto Harry Partch’s music. I have heard some but not nearly all of it. He died in 1974. There’s a lot of information on him online.

05. Wolf Eyes - Track 2 / Man Made Hell
John Olson, American Tapes. One of the many great Wolf Eyes tracks out there. This is one of my favorites.
